Options Abound

The aim of our financial planning process is simple. We want to get to know you, determine your goals, and help you decide the best plan for meeting them. But “simple” isn’t always “easy.” Developing a winning strategy will take substantive work and meaningful conversation.

Here’s a closer look at our process.

Discovery

We begin every new relationship by getting to know our clients. This means understanding their values, their achievements, what’s important to them, and their aspirations. Why? Because every financial recommendation we make will be made on top of this foundation. We’ll organize financial data, insurance policies, information about income and benefits, expenses, and other important pieces of your financial equation.

Strategy

Based upon what we learn about you, we’ll help you consider options for achieving your goals. The investments you select, the amount you’re able to save, insurance coverage, cash flow management, tax considerations, and many other factors will go into our analysis. You’ll understand the advantages and potential pitfalls of the path you choose — before you choose it. You’ll choose strategies with all the information you need, at your fingertips, to help ensure success.

Decision Making

Once you’ve narrowed your options and selected a strategy, we’ll help you implement it. We’ll provide an actionable list of prioritized and specific steps that can be taken to achieve your goals, and we’ll be there to help you along the way. For some tasks, we’re precisely the people who can help. For others, you may need additional resources, including tax professionals, attorneys, realtors, or others. We’ll work with those advisors as needed to help you achieve a coordinated plan. We’ll help you hold them — and yourself — accountable to your vision and strategy.

Continuous Review

Life happens. And as it does, we’ll be there to help you manage shifting goals, changing tax rates, fluctuation in expenses, and life changes that impact your financial plan. The most certain thing about most financial strategies is that they are subject to change. Most of our clients have one or two review meetings per year, once their plan is in place; you may choose to have more. Rest assured, when circumstances change, we’ll be there to help. In fact, as a client of our firm, you’re encouraged to call us any time you have a question, or any time you’re facing a new financial decision.
